Raspberry Pi 5 — A New Era of Performance

The Raspberry Pi 5 is the most powerful Raspberry Pi ever made, featuring a quad-core Arm Cortex-A76 processor running at 2.4GHz — roughly 2–3× faster than the Raspberry Pi 4. It introduces a new RP1 I/O controller chip developed in-house by Raspberry Pi Ltd, bringing faster USB 3.0, dual 4Kp60 HDMI output, and PCI Express 2.0 support.

The Pi 5 also adds a real-time clock (with optional battery backup), a power button, and a dedicated camera/display connector. It ships in 4GB and 8GB RAM variants and runs the full suite of Raspberry Pi OS images as well as Ubuntu 23.10+.
