NFC Ultralight is the most cost-effective NFC chip in the NXP family, offering 48 bytes of user memory in a lean, low-power design. It's optimised for single-use or limited-use applications where keeping unit cost low is the priority — transport tickets, event admission passes, loyalty stamps, and promotional disposables.
Ultralight tags do not support password protection or advanced security features, so they're not suited for access control or anti-counterfeit applications. But for simple, one-way URL delivery or short NDEF payloads at scale, they're an economical and reliable choice.
